from May 16th 2024

The outdoor swimming pool in Prohlis in the south of Dresden has been completely redesigned and, together with the indoor swimming pool there, forms the Prohlis combined pool. In addition to a 25-meter swimming pool, the outdoor pool area includes an adventure pool and a bathing area for younger visitors. In addition to a wide slide, guests can also use the two giant tube slides at the swimming pool. Numerous sports options offer everything you need for an active day at the outdoor pool. Large sunbathing areas and a higher sun terrace also provide plenty of opportunities to relax.

Outdoor pool Cotta
from May 30th 2024

The Cotta outdoor pool in the west of Dresden is popular with all age groups and has a 620 square meter stainless steel pool for bathing fun, including three 25-meter lanes. The little bathing guests have their own paddling pool. Sun worshippers will find a nice spot on the large sunbathing lawn. The playground makes children’s hearts beat faster, as does the wide slide and the water mushroom. For “water bombs” and “pike” there is a three-meter tower and a one-meter diving board. In the year of its 100th anniversary, the Cotta outdoor pool was reopened in 2013 after it had been extensively renovated.

Outdoor pool Wostra
from May 30th 2024

In the east of Dresden, not far from the Elbe cycle path, you will find the modernized outdoor pool Wostra. From the highest diving tower of the city in the open-air, the brave ones can dare to jump from the “Five”, “Three” or “One”. Swimmers swim their 50-meter lanes in the large combination pool. Non-swimmers and children will also get their money’s worth in the Wostra. The extensive, well-tended lawn invites you to relax and linger. A lovingly designed playground and a paddling pool with an elephant slide are a particular delight for our very young guests. Originally the open-air pool was built in 1930 on the initiative of the “Wochenend- und Strandbadgesellschaft” — hence the name “Wostra”.

Georg-Arnhold-Bad
(open air pool)
from May 16th 2024

The popular Georg-Arnhold-Bad is located directly at the Großer Garten in the center of Dresden. In addition to the modern, family-friendly indoor swimming pool with a huge sauna landscape, it also has a large outdoor pool with a long tradition (opened in 1926, largely paid for by banker Georg Arnhold). The solar-heated 25-meter swimming pool with six lanes offers very good conditions for various water fun activities. The 18-meter slide (wide) is just as much fun for bathers as the four-season pool with a current channel. Even the youngest children will have the chance to cool off in the paddling pool with children’s slide and on the mud playground. The large outdoor area with many shady trees invites you to sunbathe and relax. In the renovated atrium, the changing rooms, sanitary facilities and various seating arrangements are arranged around the historic fountain from the early days.
