Reservoir pool Cossebaude

The popular open-air swimming pool in Cossebaude with its 45,000 square meters swimming area stretches along the western city limits of Dresden directly at a reservoir. The spacious area with a wonderful, chestnut-fringed sunbathing lawn invites you to sunbathe and relax. In addition to the 485 square meter non-swimmer’s pool with water mushroom, a giant slide provides lots of bathing fun. An extra paddling pool with 180 square meters of surface area lures the very young guests into the cool water. The facility also offers a wide range of possibilities, among other things, visitors can try out various sports on the individual pitches. If you want, you can also have windsurfing lessons on the reservoir.

The snack bar operators are external tenants. They are responsible for their own opening times, offerings and pricing.

Swimming pool Bühlau

In the barrier-free Bühlau swimming hall in the north-east of Dresden there is a 25-meter pool made of stainless steel with six lanes. A smaller course pool with a lifting floor and a paddling pool for children enrich it as well as three different saunas on the upper floor. Something special is waiting for visitors on the first floor: not only health-conscious people will get their money’s worth in an infrared cabin. The room with the heat-radiating seats is modelled on a historical streetcar. This is a reminder of the area’s historic past. The Bühlau indoor swimming pool is located on the site of an old streetcar station.

Georg-Arnhold-Bad

The popular family pool in the center of Dresden borders directly on the Großer Garten. The visitor magnet has a spacious changing and sanitary area and is completely barrier-free. Guests can swim in the 25-meter pool in the hall or in the 250 square meter adventure pool. Those who like it fast can climb the slide tower and go on a wild ride down through the tube from above. The slide is not only great fun because of the effect lighting, but at 86 meters it is also the longest of its kind in Dresden. Several attractions ensure that there is no time for boredom in the indoor swimming pool. For the little ones there is a separate paddling pool with a mini-slide. In the sauna landscape “Sweating between Old Masters”, guests can relax in the five themed saunas. Two restaurants round off the offer in the Georg-Arnhold-Bad. This pool looks back on a long history. Largely paid for by the sports sponsor Georg Arnhold, it was initially built purely as an open-air pool until 1926. The indoor pool was only added in the 1990s, when the entire complex was transformed into an adventure pool.

Finnish sauna

The Finnish sauna is the classic. Proven for centuries, it relies on drier heat. Here you sweat at a room temperature of up to 90 °C. The air humidity, on the other hand, is very low at 10 to 30 percent. Our sauna masters provide additional stimuli with infusions. Visit the Finnish sauna regularly, strengthen your immune system and train your heart and circulation!

Steam bath

With our steam bath we offer you a more gentle sauna variant. The temperature here is only 40 to 45 °C, but the air humidity reaches up to 100 percent. Many people find it much more pleasant in a steam bath than in a classic sauna. On the one hand, the temperature is not as high, on the other hand, a steam bath has numerous positive effects on your health. If you have rheumatic complaints or a cold, you will find the climate particularly pleasant and relaxing. Your skin and hair as well as your respiratory organs can also recover particularly well under these conditions. The steam bath also loosens cramped muscles and calms your nerves.

Sanarium

If you don’t want to strain your circulation too much, but want to relax more and feel good, our sanarium is the right place for you. The temperature is comparatively low at 55 to 65 °C. The humidity reaches up to 55 percent and is therefore relatively high. This creates a climate that is particularly gentle and low on irritants. You can therefore extend your sauna session in the sanarium, whether lying down or sitting down.

Infrared cabin

Do you have back pain or lumbago? Does your sciatica cause you problems or do you have pain in your joints? Then you will find a visit to our infrared cabin particularly pleasant. Because of their deep warmth, infrared rays are used in therapy as well as in wellness treatments. The radiation penetrates the upper layers of your skin, transforms into warmth and then spreads throughout your body due to the increased blood circulation. In addition, your immune system will be strengthened considerably in our infrared cabin.

The sauna is a non-smoking area.

Ice fountain and rest

In addition to various cooling showers typical of saunas, something special is waiting for you after the sweat bath for shock-freezing. Visitors lay fresh ice from a well directly on their skin — this makes for a tingling experience. Those who wish can also step into a plunge pool or boost their circulation in foot basins. Outside there is also a Kneipp course for barefoot people. The guests recharge on the comfortable loungers in the large relaxation room, where they can also read. The chic bar offers refreshing drinks.

“Sweating between Alte Meister”

In the beginning there was an idea: We wanted to portray typical things from Dresden, the region and Saxony in a sauna landscape. The result is unique: Our visitors can spend relaxing hours in an extraordinary atmosphere around a glass atrium in five themed saunas, several cooling basins and resting corners, while sweating between “Alte Meister”! How so? Dresden — the baroque pearl of Germany, which was also influenced by the Renaissance, has a treasure trove of works by famous painters from both epochs in its “Alte Meister” picture gallery. Through a cooperation with the State Art Collections, we show selected reproductions in our sauna landscape.

The sauna landscape is a non-smoking area.

The snack bar operator is an external tenant. He is responsible for his own opening times, offerings and pricing.
